Privacy Policy

Dernière mise à jour: 2026-06-30

ICS Editor (“we”, “the Service”) respects your privacy. In short: your calendar files are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. This policy explains what limited data we do collect.

Your calendar files

All reading, editing and saving of .ics files happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. The contents of your calendar files are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

When you save, the .ics file is generated on your device and downloaded directly. When you open a file, it is read directly from your device.

Local storage

We store small preferences — such as your chosen language — in your browser’s local storage. This information stays on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — for example how many people visit and which features are used. Google Analytics sets cookies and may collect information such as a truncated IP address, device and browser type, approximate (city-level) location, referring pages and in-app interactions.

This data is processed by Google on our behalf; see Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We do not use it to identify you personally, and it never includes the contents of your calendar files.

You can opt out by blocking analytics cookies or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Offline use and the holiday dataset

To work offline, the app caches its own files in your browser via a service worker. If you use the public-holidays feature, a holiday dataset is loaded from our own domain (not a third party) and cached as well. No personal data is involved.

Public-holiday information is provided by Nager.Date and bundled with the app; using that feature does not send any of your data to a third party.

Cookies

The only cookies used are those set by Google Analytics, as described above. We do not use advertising cookies.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
